Fully Involved..

We've all seen them. We've all watched a movie which at some point has a house on fire, fire that's pouring out the windows, and leaping from the roof. A house that's fully involved.
Yesterday morning, 6:05am, fire tones went off, "All volunteer firefighters, all volunteer firefighters, engine 3 requires assistance at #33 trailer court, visible flames." 6:08, Medic 4 is rolling out of the bay, Zay and I in the back, hurridly putting on our gear. 6:09, we top a hill less than 1/2 a mile from the fire, Zay and I can't see the fire, but we hear, "Geez..." from the driver- it's a big fire. 6:10, we pull up to the biggest fire yet this year, the first fire I've been to that I've actually seen the fire, and boy, did I ever see this fire! A fully involved trailer! Ya know, it looks just like the movies, I was wishing I had my camera. Engine 3 with their crew of 2(Matt and Dustin) were doing all the could just to keep the trailer's next to it from burning as well. By the time we arrived they were already running low on water, Tanker getting there just in time to keep them from totally running dry. Even then they were spraying water as fast as tanker could pump it and it was barely enough to keep the other trailers from burning. 6:35, half and hour after then call, flames are finally starting to diminish. 6:50, smoke so thick that I can't see the house 20 ft away, but an orange glow in the shape of a window tells me the fire is still going inside the house. Finally the fire is more or less out and the smoke clears to reveal two walls of the trailer being held up by the roof which is now resting on the ground. The other two walls and the addition that was built on to the side were burned to the ground. Also the rather new Kia that was probably worth more than the trailer it was parked by was also toast.
So anyway, no casualties, nobody hurt, and no other structures were seriously damaged, so it was a good fire. Also, I'd like to thank the person who brought us warm food at the fire. I may not know who it was, but it was greatly appreciated by everyone.
Well, I've had my excitement for a while, now I got a research paper to finish before tomorrow.
I'll talk to ya'll later, see ya soon at BTI!!!!
